Co-Ownership

Co-Ownership is a not-for-profit organisation that helps people get onto the property ladder who cannot do it by themselves; established in 1978 with 1000’s of clients all over Northern Ireland. The Co-Ownership team had the opportunity not only to move offices but to create a new working environment with activity based work methodology. The anti-corporate approach is evident from the moment you arrive. You are greeted with a welcoming reception space which opens out onto the main office floor, our designers worked closely with the Co-ownership marketing team to develop a soft inviting palette of finishes to make the visitors instantly feel more at ease. Each floor has its own personality and colour palette, creating a distinct sense of space for the different environments & working styles promoted on each floor.

We have focused on the core purpose of Co-Ownership Company & reflected the trend of domestic finishes in the modern office environment, creating a distinctly homely feel. Large scale full height photographic wall images reinforce the marketing message coupled with iconic landscape images of Northern Ireland, illustrating this province's wide scope of clients. Natural light flows freely throughout the 3 floors which helps create a healthy environment. The new glazed Shoreditch partitions echo the newly refurbished buildings core windows, these were designed to reflect the building's history but with a creative nod to the contemporary interior. On the working floors, meeting & telephone pods are used along with hanging acoustic screens to sub-divide the open plan areas & absorb sound to create a more relaxing environment, these provide a heightened sense of individual space, whilst also maintaining the open plan nature of the floors. We also implemented activity-based working through designing a variety of touch down spaces with versatile furniture solutions.
