Overview

The brief of this project was to supply new furniture for 3 different areas within the campus – namely the Library, Mall and students Union. The furniture chosen for each of the areas had a very different requirement as in the library we focused on acoustic pods for quiet study and more relaxed informal seating areas, were as in the mall the requirements were based upon modular soft seating, and modern style café style break out areas to encourage the students to socialise and the furniture within reason could be configured differently as required, whereas in the students union we utilised metal / industrial style furniture to blend in the existing furniture and also this was the brief from the clients and students. Although the time scale for this project was challenging the feed back from the staff has been extremely positive and the students are utilising all of the areas and are enjoying their student experience.
