Client Vision
After experiencing severe flood damage at the end of 2023, Downpatrick Credit Union was determined to rebuild stronger than ever. Their vision was to create a modern, functional credit union space that would not only serve its members effectively but also reclaim its role as a central, vibrant part of the town.
They envisioned an inviting interior that radiated a true sense of community—something welcoming and understated.
Rooms/areas included
New Shopfront: Complete with external signage, establishing a welcoming and professional first impression.
Teller Banking Stations: Three modern teller stations for efficient member service. One of which is a dedicated DDA-compliant workstation. Complete with glazed security screens.
Member Waiting Area: Comfortable seating area for members awaiting service.
Marketing Display: Complete with AV screens both internal and external, featuring a dynamic marketing loop.
Open Booth & Interview Area: Alcove seating designed for short, semi-private meetings.
Private Interview Room: Secure, confidential space for one-on-one consultations.
Back Office: Equipped with three workstations, a print hub, and secure confidential waste disposal.
Secure Storage: Formed safe storage with secure storage units for client use.
Accessible Facilities: New DDA-compliant restroom to ensure accessibility for all members.
Project Execution
Our Design Director, John Roddy, led this commercial project supported by Denice Crozier who was Lead Designer, shaping the vision for the space. Neil Irvine from Aspire skillfully managed the project from start to finish, overseeing the intricate fit-out process from the concrete shell stage through to the finished interior.
